Opération Logistique Extrême: The “Glow in the Dark” Christmas of the Nunavut Miners

The challenge: to transport Quebec’s largest playroom to the Arctic

At Les Gars des Jeux, we’ll soon be talking performance, challenge and legendary setups. Forget delivery to a warehouse in Brossard: the event we’re about to dissect will be a true feat of event design. It’s being staged for isolated mineworkers in Nunavut, and its execution will require every element-from the electrical wire to Santa’s DJ beard-to be flown in.

The mandate? Organize two weekends of unforgettable Glow in the Dark Christmas Party fun. The event will take place on the weekends of November 24-26, 2025 and December 8-10, 2025. Logistics will be an Olympic game.

Entertainment arsenal: All eight V.I.P. stations shipped

The objective will be clear: to offer a variety of entertainment for customers looking to unwind after long weeks. The event team will have opted for long-term rental (8 play stations), ensuring that minors will have access to activities throughout the entire festive period.

✨ The immersive experience: the magic of “Glow” to come

The “Glow in the Dark” concept will set the mood, transforming the space into a futuristic arctic nightclub.

  • The Visual Heart: The DJ Booth and Bar will be built with 2 custom panels included (GLOW IN THE DARK) and dedicated LED lights, creating a vibrant focal point.
  • Lighting accessories: 1,500 glow-in-the-dark sticks will be used to decorate the space, illuminate drinks and become dance accessories for total immersion.
  • Specialized Mixology: A MIXOLOGIST (3 days x 8h/day) will be dispatched to create a menu including the design of 3 DRINKS GLOW IN THE DARK. A high-end service where the drink will be part of the themed entertainment.

The Fire Team: Animation in action

The team will be mobilized to guarantee a constant quality of experience over the two weekends:

  • 2 Animators (3 days x 8h/day): To manage and supervise duels and competitions.
  • Santa Claus DJ (3 days x 8h/day): He’ll provide the soundtrack, atmosphere and act as master of ceremonies.

🧠 The psychological challenge: boosting morale at 60° North

Beyond the logistical feat, the real mission of this party will be to meet the essential need for workers’ well-being. Living far from their families and in extreme conditions, entertainment is a crucial component in maintaining morale.

  • Total break: The play stations provide a complete escape from routine.
  • Team building: Interactive games promote team cohesion and camaraderie.
  • Added value: Airlifting an event of this scale will send a strong signal to employees that their well-being is a priority.

By creating a futuristic funfair atmosphere in Nunavut, the company invests directly in staff retention and stress reduction.

Ultimately, this event design will be a textbook case of successful logistics. It will prove that with careful planning and a well-chosen arsenal of games, it’s possible to deliver a metropolitan-caliber experience, even in the most extreme conditions of the North. Hats off to the team who will make this Arctic Christmas a legendary glow-in-the-dark playground, while boosting troop morale to the max!
